MY EXPERIENCE
A decade in my current role as a marketing communications and media relations consultant:
- Four years as the first Director of Marketing and Programs for the non-profit industry association intelliFLEX Innovation Alliance
- A variety of engagements with SMEs, multinational tech companies and professional services firms in support of their marketing communications and business development objectives
- Collaboration with subject matter experts and thought leaders at all levels to get their names in print with industry trade publications, secure speaker slots at major conferences and polish their public images on platforms such as LinkedIn
- Driving the public relations function for clients to build brand awareness and support business development with exposure through relevant media outlets
Five years as a journalist with the Ottawa Business Journal and three years as its editor with oversight of a weekly newspaper, a daily news website and a variety of specialty magazines
